Sound Reasons

The Gujral Foundation in collaboration with Pro-Helvetia in association with Outset India, Goethe Institut, Alliance Francaise, and Danish Art Foundation presented Sound Reason 2014.
Sound Reasons 2014 was a festival for sound art, contemporary jazz and electronic music which took place in Delhi, Bangalore, Goa, Colombo and Dhaka in the months of October and November 2014. With performances, workshops and Installations happening across various cities.
Seven sound art installations by Marcus Maeder, Timo Kahlen, Ish S (diFfused beats), Lars Lundehave Hansen, Salome Voegelin, Farah Mulla and Thomas Peter were showcased at 24 Jor Bagh from 31st October to 6th November 2014. Talks and discussions also ran alongside the exhibits.
The objective of Sound Reasons – the festival for sound art, contemporary jazz and electronic music is to promote the contemporary transcultural strain of international electronic music and sound art in India by expanding awareness among the audience.
